Rick Lober and Rajeev Gopal from Hughes join me at SATCON


SATCON 2009 was the focus for the U.S. Military surrounding the recent DISA/GSA FCSA military satellite communications initiative. I sat down with Richard (Rick) Lober, VP and General Manager of Defense & Intelligence Systems Division for Hughes and Rajeev Gopal, Ph.D., Senior Director, Transformational Communications for Hughes Network Systems. In Parts One and Two they share their views on the DISA/GSA alliance surrounding FCSA, the big part that Hughes plays in this space, Hughes solutions to bandwidth efficiency, the Jupiter Launch, the interesting opportunities for those considering a career in satellite communications and more.
